Thanks to the weather we had a very pleasant weekend of Club Competition Finals.
On Saturday morning we had Edna Bono beating Sheila Endean and Ed Fancourt Winning against Joe Blackhall.
The afternoon was Championship time with Sheila Moore overcoming Shelia Endean in a very close game and Mick Rigby beating, a very new bowler, Ken Ladlow.
Sunday gave us another close game with Sheila Endean & Martin Cuthbert coming from behind to beat Edna Bono & Jeff McPherson in the Mixed Pairs
This concluded a very pleasant weekend end of bowls and it was made even more so by those of us who were able to come to watch and encourage the competitors.

Charlie, Sept. 21, 2016, 6:28 p.m.
As you all can see, the Charity Day in aid of St.Francis Hospice was a great success and enjoyed by all those taking part who dug deep to raise the £450. Such a shame not all our members could attend as these "Get-together" Events are a good way to meet and make friends with the bowlers who are unable to get along for the Club afternoons. Sure Pat would be delighted to receive a donation from anyone who wasn't able to attend in person, it is a Charity very dear to the hearts of many of our members who have been glad of the St.Francis services. Pat did a great job organising everything.
Joyce , Sept. 17, 2016, 10:27 a.m.
The charity day went extremely well, five rinks were used with £450 being raised for St Francis hospice. Well done captain Pat and Len for organising the day and to all the cake makers and people who donated raffle prizes the tea makers and the washeruppers. All in all a very successful day.
